Kansas City Appraisers
Kansas City Chapter - American Society of Appraisers
The American
Society of Appraisers (the “ASA”) is a multi-discipline non-profit
international organization of professional appraisers. The mission of the
ASA is to foster the public trust of our members and the appraisal profession
through compliance with the highest levels of ethical and professional
standards. The Kansas City Chapter includes the Kansas City Metropolitan
area, the States of Kansas and Western Missouri, including the cities of
Topeka, Salina, Wichita, Hays, El Dorado in Kansas and Joplin, Springfield and
St. Joseph in Missouri.
Our members
provide appraisal reports for planning, insurance declarations, gift and estate
tax returns, employee benefit plans, merger and acquisitions, litigation
support, expert witness testifying, and tax assessment purposes.
The ASA
accredited members are designated as specialists in specific types of assets
including: real estate, art, collectables, stained glass, aircraft, machinery,
equipment, intangible assets, and business valuation. ASA accredited
members have successfully completed a comprehensive series of examinations, provided
a juried report and meet experience requirements in their fields of
practice. Designations include the Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) and
Accredited Member (AM). Members who are working toward these designations
are Candidate members. Members are required to be educated in and comply with the Uniform
Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).
We look
forward to the opportunity to be of service. Look on our contact page for
an ASA accredited member that specializes in your specific appraisal need, or
contact our officers for additional information.
